Ambrosia Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c Butter or margarine
3/4 c Packed brown sugar
1/2 c Granulated sugar
2 ts Vanilla
1 Egg
2 1/4 c Unbleached flour
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Baking soda
12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, beat well.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mix well. Add chocolate chips, mix well.

Roll a heaping tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place each ball 2-inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and place cookies on a cooling rack.

Makes 3 dozen cookies
