Molasses Sugar Cookies

3/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt margarine. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to margarine mixture and mix. Chill 15 minutes or more. Make 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
