Golden Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 c. butter flavor shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. maple flavoring
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. vanilla chips

Cream together shortening, sugar, brown sugar and cream cheese. Add eggs and maple flavoring. Sift together dry ingredients; mix well. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
