Crushed Potato Chip Cookies

1 c Sugar
1 c Shortening or butter
1 Egg -- beaten
1 pn Salt
1 ts Soda
2 c Flour
3/4 c Crushed potato chops
3/4 c Nuts

Mix all ingredients together. Roll into small balls. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake until brown at 350 degrees. 4 dozen.
