Crumbly Moist Sugar Cookies

3/4 c Butter
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in sifted ingredients. Chill dough thoroughly (at least 2 hours). Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough, a segment at a time, to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 6-8 min. Be careful not to overbake. Yield 4 dozen.
